09/12/2021 11:35:53I stood in Water at Walney island to watch the launch of the Oriana in 1959 as a 13 year old child, I hadn’t anticipated the water rising to my waist as she entered the water all 44,000 ton, she was so big, she had to be tilted a bit to fit, to go down the slipway! I migrated to Western Australia in 1976 and only today 8th December 2021 was having a conversation with an Aussie guy who cruised back to Australia on that very ship in the 1960’s
