Description:
The passenger liner (ROME 1881) was refitted and converted into a cruise yacht, VECTIS, in 1904. The first cruise originated at Tilbury and called at Bergen, Norwegian ports, North Cape and Spitzbergen. Berths for the cruise cost 40-70 guineas and the shore excursions were arranged by Thomas Cook & Son.
