British India

The British India Steam Navigation Company was founded in 1856 and merged with P&O in 1914.  Inspite of the merger, B.I. retained its independence and distinct identity from P&O until the 1970s.  However the two companies often worked together, for economies of scale, in the design and printing of Handbooks of Information, brochures and menu covers.
