Description:
Captain Bourne (c.1787-1850) was a Dublin shipowner, and owner of the paddle steamer WILLIAM FAWCETT (1828), who joined Willcox and Anderson in establishing Peninsular Steam Navigation Company. His portrait was presented to the Board of Directors of P&O by his widow and family in 1853.
