Does this ship have any connection to Fordingbridge Hants? There is a terrace of houses here named Nyanza 1877 Terrace. It is also a place in Africa. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Interestingly, I have asked the same question on the ‘Fordingbridge History in Photos’ Facebook group following finding a census reference to this address. I subsequently found that the S. S. Nyanza sailed from Southampton in 1877.
