In 1992, the artist, Edward Beckett, recollected painting this picture 40 years earlier; "it was as I saw her in the Barrow Docks about 1950/1 on completion by Vicker-Armstrongs prior to sailing for her home port and maiden voyage."

21/01/2021 17:41:33hi my grandfather Abraham Darmanin was a P&O pilot in malta during the second world war i have a picture of him at the wheel,name of ship on the back is the Chusan he is also mentioned as an unsung Hero during world war 2 Malta Under Siege.have you any information please,
